It is a perfect summer day in Vancouver. The streets are lined with fragrant flowers. The sun is shinning and the birds are singing. I am sitting at my favorite Starbucks in downtown Vancouver listening to Feist and watching people happily walk by. On days like this, the city seems to transform. It becomes energized and you can’t help but feel relaxed and happy. It reconfirms my belief that Vancouver is the best place in the world.

These days you can’t go anywhere with out passing a few Starbucks on the way and usually packed with people. So imagine my surprise when I heard the news Starbucks will be closing 600 stores in United States this summer. This means over 10,000 Starbucks employees will be looking for an opportunity out there very soon. The next time you’re in any of their locations, make sure you have your business card as well as few samples with you. You never know…
