Are You Building A Foundation?

Over the past 6 weeks I have been watching the construction of a 30 story building adjacent to my current residence. What has intrigued me is the vast amount of time that the construction team has spent measuring and excavating the 6 story hole deep into the ground. Once that was complete the crews moved onto a pile driving process to secure the foundation floor. Now they are setting the concrete infrastructure that will form the foundation of the soon to be erected skyscraper. I suspect this project has been underway for 6 months and to day all you see is a hole in the ground. Within another 3 months the building will be a ground level and then the construction of reaming 30 floors will take place over the next 18 months. Start to finish a project that will not provide any source of revenue for the future apartment dwellers for nearly 3 years.

The A380

As I travel around the world, one of my past times is to enjoy the different types of aircraft that many of the airlines use around the world.

Recently I had the fortune to travel on Singapore Airlines all new all-new design superjumbo, the A380. This A380 is the world’s first twin-deck, twin-aisle airliner. It was designed with the advantages of lower fuel burn per seat and lower operating costs per seat.
